There are plenty of kooky claims that have been made by the anti-vaccine crowd: Vaccines make you gay, vaccines contain tracking chips, or vaccines cause EVERYTHING BAD THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED OR WILL HAPPEN. Every once in a while we are reminded of where the trail, which is without reason, leads. Pictured below is a screen capture of one such case. Read it now.
No this is not a joke; yes the page Vaccination Information Network (VINE) is sharing a warning not to be an organ donor because they think the doctors will kill you and then eat your organs in satanic rituals behind the hospital.
The page which I took this image from, along with naturalnews and greenmedinfo, is used often by antivaxxers for memes and articles. As I write this post VINE has 114,412 likes on facebook. That’s 114,412 people that are receiving updates from this insane source and basing important decisions that they make for themselves and their children on that information.
Some might argue, “OK, so they were wrong on one thing. They still have a lot of good information.” I have heard this sort of justification in regards to sites like infowars https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVTYC6chmnU (You should completely trust the research methods of this guy). I strongly disagree with this way of thinking. If a source is incompetent enough to come to a conclusion like, “Doctors are killing people and eating them in satanic rituals” why would they suddenly become Sherlock Holmes while researching vaccines or nutrition?
